Engine Weight and Balance
To determine the exact weight and datum location of the engine I remounted the engine and weighed the airplane a second time. From this weight and moment I subtracted the origanal aircraft weight and moment as well as the balance weight required to keep the tail wheel down with the engine mounted. After the test I found a level and tape measure that I had left on the airplane so I also subtracted the tool weight and moment to get the net engine weight and datum location.
