Pictures of the Week December 2, 2002
Today I fabricated a baffle for the end of the cylinder head. I was trying to find a simple way to bend an aluminum sheet into a cover but ended up requiring welding to finish the fabrication. One of the pictures has the sheet layout that I drew up on the white board during fabrication. I also had to fabricate a clamp with a thirteen inch grip and a six inch reach to hold the piece on the head during the tack welding operation to get the proper fit.

Today I had a bunch of things to do and only had three hours to work on the KR. I was able to complete the second cylinder head baffle and half of the third one in about half the time that it took to complete the first one last weekend.\
This is a picture of my home made sheet metal break fashioned from a steel bar
and some C-clamps on the edge of the welding table. The duck bill
vice-grips used to start the bend can be seen in the photo.
