Pictures of the Week                                            September 11, 2002

Only one picture today but two items completed.  To allow the turbo oil drain line to be connected to the oil pump inlet it required some modification to the oil dip stick housing.  I replaced the existing steel cover with one made from .080" aluminum sheet.  In addition, I replaced the 8mm bolts with 8mm pan head machine screws.  This provide sufficient clearance for the oil line which I manufactured from Aeroquip -10 steel braided hose.  The fitting at the oil pump is a straight -10 fitting and the fitting at the turbo end is a 90 degree -12 fitting.    This progress is shown in the photo.

The remaining items are to weld a dipstick housing on the new cover plate, drill and tap the head to mount the hose clamp, cover the line with firesleeve.
