I'm back in school! The first session of the SportAir TIG welding class taught me two valuable things:
First, keep your filler rod in the argon while you are welding so that the filler doesn't get contaminated. Second, you can't weld if you can't see so use a magnifier inside your welding helmet. A side item was how cool the instant on helmets are for being able to see to start your arc. I already expected this but using an automatic shield made it real.
